Clinical Physiotherapy

Rest produces scar tissue. Loading produces repair.

Our differentiator is structural, not stylistic. At Mitogenez, the physician who diagnoses your condition co-designs your rehabilitation and remains in the clinical loop throughout. We integrate advanced modalities (ESWT, PEMF, EMS) with strict, progressive mechanotherapy.

Clinical Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

Integrated Team

One record. One conversation. Your orthopaedic and rehabilitation team work together under the same roof.

The necessity of mechanical loading: Wolff’s Law.

Regenerative injections (like PRP) deliver the biological signals to repair tissue. However, how that new collagen matrix organises depends entirely on the mechanical environment. Without precise, progressive loading (physiotherapy), the new collagen is deposited randomly—resulting in weak, stiff scar tissue. Loading creates strong, functional tendons and cartilage.

Advanced Modalities

We do not rely on simple heat/ice. Your protocol may integrate Ultrasound-Guided Shockwave (ESWT), Dry Needling, EMS, and deep-penetrating Photobiomodulation (850nm).

Local Cryotherapy

Delivers high-intensity cold to trigger localised vasoconstriction. This flushes inflammation, instantly numbs nerve endings, and allows you to begin active rehab sooner with less pain.

Phased Mechanotherapy

Recovery is staged: early passive modalities for pain control → progressive tissue loading → final functional and neuromuscular integration.

Treatment Paths & Capabilities

Conditions managed within our clinic.

By shifting from a standalone physical therapy model to an integrated medical model, we address both the structural fault and the systemic environment.

Spinal & Postural Pathology

  • Mechanical low back & neck pain
  • Disc-related & radicular pain (sciatica)
  • Cervicogenic headaches and tech-neck syndromes

Joint & Tendon Degeneration

  • Knee, hip, & shoulder osteoarthritis
  • Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)
  • Achilles, patellar, and rotator cuff tendinopathies

Post-Operative Rehabilitation

  • Post-arthroscopy (ACL, meniscus tear repair)
  • Total Joint Replacement (TKR / THR)
  • Post-fracture fixation and spine surgery recovery

Sarcopenia & Fall Prevention

  • Age-related weakness addressed via targeted EMS
  • Balance, proprioception, and frailty prevention
  • Bone health management through progressive loading

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Dry Needling and Acupuncture?
They use the same tool (a solid-filament needle), but have completely different scientific bases. Acupuncture is based on traditional Chinese medicine principles of Qi flow and meridians. Dry Needling is based on Western musculoskeletal anatomy. We place the needle directly into a myofascial trigger point (often using ultrasound guidance) to force a local twitch response, instantly releasing the muscle knot and resetting the neurological pain cycle.
Can I undergo these therapies if I have metal implants?
Yes. The implant determines which modalities are used. Short Wave Diathermy (SWD) is contraindicated over metal because it creates localised heating. However, Shockwave (ESWT), Photobiomodulation (PBM), and Manual Therapy are entirely safe. Electrical modalities (IFT, EMS) are also safe over metal, though they are restricted near active electronic implants like pacemakers. Your physician and physio will verify your implants before selecting modalities.
Why do you use Red Light for joints?
We use Near-Infrared Photobiomodulation (specifically 850nm). Unlike superficial 660nm red light used for skin, 850nm penetrates up to 30mm deep, reaching the tendon, joint capsule, and periosteum. It works by stimulating cytochrome c oxidase in the mitochondria to increase cellular ATP production, vastly accelerating deep tissue repair and suppressing inflammatory signalling.
How is Mitogenez physiotherapy different from a standard clinic?
The standalone physio model offers a strong service within its scope. We operate on a different model. Your surgeon, who diagnoses the issue, co-designs your rehabilitation and remains involved. You have access to medical-grade therapies (regenerative injections, IVs, HBOT) under the same roof. If your rehab plateaus, the medical founders review it directly. One team, one integrated approach.
